Privacy Policy

SlatePicks (slatepicks.bet) is a free sports picks site. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, and what isn't.

The short version

There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms, and we never ask for your name, email or payment details.
SlatePicks doesn't set cookies.
We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count visits. It doesn't follow you around the web.

Information collected automatically

Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see things like how many people visit, which pages they read, which sites sent them, and their general country and device type. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint your device, and isn't used to build a profile of you or to target ads.

Content loaded from other services

Some parts of the page are loaded directly from other providers, which receive your IP address and browser information when your browser requests them:

Google Fonts for the site's typefaces (Google's privacy policy).
Unsplash and Wikimedia Commons for header photos (Unsplash, Wikimedia).

Pick cards may link to other sites, such as live box scores. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Advertising and affiliate links

SlatePicks doesn't currently show ads or use affiliate links. If we add advertising (such as Google AdSense) or affiliate links in the future, we'll update this policy before they go live, including what those partners collect and how to opt out.

Age

SlatePicks is intended for adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date above.
